On August 2, 2025, the Feast of Our Lady of the Porziuncola, the first Saturday of the month, the Queen of Poland arrived at the Church of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr, in Rome, In Her Jasna Góra Icon. She had previously participated in the Youth Jubilee, standing next to the podium at Casa Polonia, where Polish youth experienced their Jubilee Year retreat and a meeting with Pope Leo XIV on the Tor Vergata fields in Rome at the end.

In the Polish Church of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr, The Icon of St. Stanislaus was placed near the chancel, next to the side altar, so that everyone who enters the church could see Her and pray.Rzym 2025 08 11 o 21.08

Sister Maria Katarzyna Mozdyniewicz, a Sister of the Sacred Heart who oversees the interior design of this church, describes the event as follows:

The Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa, traveling "From Ocean to Ocean" across the world in defense of the civilization of life and love, has been with us for two weeks now. Before the Eucharist, when pilgrims from Poland are present, I try to tell them where She came from and why She is here now. I also explain the significance of this Icon. The pilgrims listen with great curiosity and amazement to how much meaning lies hidden in this holy, simple Icon of the Black Madonna.

After Mass or during the day, many families and individuals come to meet Mary and entrust to Her what is hidden in their hearts. I am convinced that the closeness of Mary in the Częstochowa Icon is felt and attracts many people, including those from other cultures and religions.

Today, a friend of mine called, eager to show the Icon to two friends. They came, knelt before Mary, and I saw joy, concentration, and tears on their faces. Just as in Nazareth, Mary, in great simplicity and without fuss, does Her work.

On the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, the Icon will be integrated into the solemn liturgy through veneration. Information about the pilgrimage and the significance of this Icon will be published in our weekly bulletin.

The Church and Hospice of St. Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr in Rome is a true Polish center. It was founded in the 16th century by Cardinal Hosius for Polish pilgrims visiting Rome, to provide them with pastoral and material care. It houses numerous mementos from Polish history. Prayers were held in this church when King Sobieski fought the Turks at Vienna, as well as during the Battle of Warsaw, which led to the miracle of Poland's salvation on August 15, 1920.Rzym 2025 08 11 o 21.08.a
