This is a great sign that the Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa in its peregrination across the world arrived in the shrine of Lourdes exactly on the 8th of December, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It seems that Our Lady Herself wanted it because the organisers had not been able to plan the date earlier due to enormous distances and the sequence of meetings in 22 countries.

On Friday, the 30th of November, at 5 PM Our Lady of Częstochowa arrived in Baillet-en-France, 30 kms north of Paris, where there is a monumental statue of Our Lady of France. The Częstochowa Icon was placed in the oratory where there had gathered the Chaldeian community living in the neighbouring town of Sarcelles. A lot of them came. Chaldeians often come to Baillet. They pray in Arameic, the language of Jesus Christ.

We are waiting with Father Tomasz at a petrol station – he has his Honda Rebel, me – a car, and we are trying to see in the darkness the characteristic shape of the “Life Mobil”.

On the 29th of November in the afternoon the parish of Genlis (In Burgundy, near the city of Dijon, 330 kms to the south-east of Paris) witnessed an unprecedented event – it was visited by the Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa on it peregrination from ocean to ocean. About 200 people gathered in the church. They came also from the neighbouring parishes.
